Water Recycling Solutions

Automated Water Solutions

Our Mission and Solution

Automated Water Solutions Inc. “AWS” started as a vision over five years ago of where produced water recycling efficiency needed to be. Research and observation of the technologies that go into making produced water reuse effective and economical has culminated into this company. Utilizing automation throughout the water clean-up process and efficient G&A cost allows our cost per barrel to be lower than our competitors and ultimately save the customer millions of dollars per year while providing a product that is consistent to their specifications.

AWS will provide customers with the best process for recycling produced water whether it be a full solids removal polymer process or a more simple disinfectant and filtration process that is completely automated and volumes of up to 80,000 plus barrels per day of throughput can be achieved. We will have turnkey options for customers including above ground storage tank (AST) rental, frac pond construction, generator rental, skim oil recovery and automation installation in addition to our produced water recycling systems.

Leadership

W. Kyle Lewis – President & CEO

Kyle currently serves as President of Lewis Oil & Gas, Inc. Since 2014 he has been designing and building produced water recycling facilities for numerous oil & gas companies throughout the Permian Basin. This involves consulting and advising operators on expectations for water recycling quality and volumes and recommendations on recycling processes and contractors. Since 2014 Kyle has constructed over 400,000 barrels per day of recycling capacity.

Prior to his current position he served as CFO of XOG Operating LLC from 1996 through 2008 where he was responsible for financial reporting, tax preparation and banking. From 2008 through 2014 he served as COO of XOG and was responsible for the management of drilling, completion and daily operations of over 800 wells in 9 states in the USA. Mr. Lewis brings over 30 years of oil and gas experience to the executive team.

Dennis Scheib – VP & CTO

Dennis currently serves as President and CEO of Peak Manufacturing, LLC. Since 2011 he has managed the day-to-day operations and engineering the building of frac tanks, weir tanks, hydration tanks, holding tanks, clarifiers and other carbon steel equipment for multiple oil field customers.

Prior to his current position he served as President and CEO of Data Center Management Services, LLC where he helped multiple S&P 100 companies design and build data centers throughout the USA. He also spent 10 years in the US Army and managed the day-to-day operations of a 1,200+ person task force that was spread throughout the world in support of the Based Camp design and implementation for wartime activities and peace keeping missions for the Department of Defense. Dennis brings over 30 years of operational and engineering experience to the executive team.

John Harvey Slocum - VP Business Development

John Harvey currently serves as President and CEO of Slocum Energy LLC. He has served in multiple business development roles both domestic and internationally. After graduating with a B.S. from Texas A&M in 1999, Mr. Slocum went to work for LeTourneau Technologies, a subsidiary of Rowan Drilling where he handled corporate relationships and oversaw North American and North Sea sales groups. Since 2012 he has been primarily involved in directional drilling providing tools and services for well over 10,000 completed oil and gas wells in US shale plays. Mr. Slocum brings over 20 years of oil and gas experience to this management team.

Products and Services

AWS will offer two water recycling processes based on the needs of the customer. One process will be a polymer system that reduces TSS (Total Suspended Solids) to near zero whereby we will use ozone as an oxidizer to kill bacteria and neutralize any H2S and and a polymer flocculent to dose the raw water and then utilize inclined plate clarifiers that divert the floc vertically to better help separate the solids that fall out of the water and then filtration for a final polish of the water before it is discharged into a pond or AST all in a fully automated setting. This process is preferred by operators that utilize a higher percentage of produced water in their fracs. The second process utilizes ozone as an oxidizer and then filtration to polish the water before it is discharged into a pond or AST. This process keeps a higher TSS with full bacteria kill. This is a less expensive process and is preferred by operators that blend fresh water with the recycled water for their fracs. We will also have AST’s for rent in various sizes based on operator needs. We will also be able to provide location and pond construction utilizing sub-contractors as well as automation, generator and light plant rentals.

Why Ozone?

Utilizing Ozone as our oxidizer serves two very important purposes. First an ozone generator capable of generating 300+ pounds per day of ozone has a small footprint and in our automated setting it will allow us to more easily control the oxidation process remotely as opposed to using H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide), CLO2 (chlorine dioxide) or Bleach (sodium hypochlorite) which are all in a liquid form and would require chemical totes and/or bulk bins and more labor intensive and costly. Second and more importantly ozone is a more effective oxidizer. Ozone has a 17% better oxidizing potential than H2O2, 32% better oxidizing potential than CLO2 and 120% better oxidizing potential than Bleach by volume.
